Science at Parkhill is all about curiosity! This term the Prep students have been learning about how we move and how some of their toys move. Why does the toy car travel further on smooth cardboard then bumpy bubble wrap? How do we know if an object can roll or slide? These are all questions to incite wonder.

The Year 5/6 students have been learning about natural disasters. They presented a poster and model of their natural disaster to the class. Did you know that the word Volcano comes from name of the Roman god of fire – Vulcan?

This term has all seen the completion of Little Scientist, Big Science program at John Monash Science School. The four students will return in October to present at the John Monash Science School Science Fair!
