The year 2/3s have been learning about patterns in maths. They have been exploring number patterns, where we ended the unit with number games! Some students worked on skip counting by 10s and 5s, others worked on increasing number patterns by 2s from any starting point while other students used addition, subtraction and multiplication to find the rule. Students enjoyed playing games while continuing to work on their maths skills!
As well as number patterns, children explored shape patterns! Students used given task cards to complete a growing shape pattern. They used manipulatives such as wooden shapes to continue these. This was a wonderful way to finish our patterns unit!
