Principal's Message
Dear parents and carers,
Usually at this time of the year we hold our Learning Celebrations where parents are invited into classrooms to see what their children are learning. This event allows us to profile the learning experience of students as well as the opportunity for children to proudly share their work with their parents. Unfortunately, due to the Covid restrictions in place for the remainder of this term, we are not able to invite parents into the physical environment. However, there will still be a celebration of learning through virtual means. Children will collectively share their work through photos which will then be emailed to parents as well as posted on the website newsroom. A more usual Learning Celebration event will be held in Term 2.
Whole School Information Evening
‘When schools and families work together, children can become more engaged with their school work, achieve better academically, stay in school longer and develop better social skills. Effective partnerships enrich wellbeing, achievement and engagement by focusing on student needs’ (Department of Education and Training)
On Thursday 24th March, school council will be hosting a community forum. At this forum we will share a range of school performance data and celebrate areas of achievement and reflect on areas for improvement. This event will also include a Q&A component. More information will follow closer to the date.
Have a lovely weekend,
David Wells
Acting Principal

Full STEAM Ahead!
A BIG THANK YOU
Over the past 2 weeks the Y4/5 students have been exploring plant adaptations using our brand-new microscopes. This engaging exploration would not have been possible without the purchase of a class set of USB microscopes. On behalf of our student body and myself, I would like to extend thanks to the families who contributed to the parent payment donation. With your support our students will have the opportunity to look at science from a different perspective for years to come.

Nature Play
Lotions, potions, and little houses ….are the thing this week in the playgrounds. The children have been creating using nature.
Nature play is when children are provided with the opportunity to engage in unstructured play activities in outdoor settings where natural elements feature, such as logs, rocks and water, as opposed to conventional manufactured play equipment.
