ABORIGINAL GARDEN WORKING BEE

IMG_0253

It was definitely a case of many hands make light work last weekend with a fantastic turn out at Parkhill’s Aboriginal garden working bee. Eager participants from our community, dug, shoveled and shifted a lot of grass, soil and sand to transform what was just grass into winding paths radiating out from the circular meeting place. Term 2 will see the completion of this mammoth project with students planting out the garden beds with native bush tucker plants.  To show our appreciation for all the hard work, busy workers were rewarded with a delicious  barbeque lunch.  Stay tuned for more working bees.
